About this project

A field guide to a fast-moving Roblox niche.

Keyboard Escape is an independent reference site for players comparing keyboard- and keycap-themed escape games. We document the differences without pretending these games share one developer, one ruleset, or one official wiki.

What we cover

“Keyboard Escape” is an editorial label for a cluster of Roblox experiences, not an official Roblox genre. The games we include pair a keyboard or keycap route with an escape or finish objective and some form of progression. In one game every step adds Speed; in another, jumps add Jump Power; other variants use painting, Size, collectible income units, or player-placed keycaps. That variation is why every game receives its own page and its own source list.

We do not treat ordinary Keyboard Obbies, Keyboard Towers, tycoons, clickers, or racing games as core entries unless a keyboard-course escape loop is actually present. Those neighboring formats can still appear in comparison guides when the distinction helps players choose a game.

How information is checked

The editorial desk begins with Roblox discovery results, then verifies the exact title, Place ID, Universe ID, developer or group, public description, status, and official thumbnail. Badge and game-pass data may corroborate specific mechanics such as Wins or Rebirth. Public gameplay videos can help explain visible play patterns, but a video is never allowed to override the current official game page.

Each game page includes a verification date and links to its public sources. When a field cannot be confirmed, the page says “Not confirmed” or “This feature could not be verified.” An omitted mechanic is not treated as proof that the feature cannot exist in the game. Codes are published only after a current, game-specific source supports them; similarly named experiences never inherit one another’s codes.

Independence and rights

KeyboardEscape.com is independently operated. It is not affiliated with Roblox Corporation, does not represent any featured developer, and is not the official website for a particular Keyboard Escape game. Roblox, game names, screenshots, thumbnails, logos, and other marks belong to their respective rights holders. Official Roblox imagery is used to identify and discuss the corresponding public experience, with source records retained by the site.

Developers and rights holders can request a correction, attribution change, or content review through the contact page. Copyright and removal procedures are described on the copyright page. We review a request against the cited source and update the relevant page when the evidence supports a change.

Editorial ownership

Pages are reviewed under the name “Keyboard Escape editorial desk.” This is the site’s editorial function, not a claim that Roblox or a game studio approved the content. The review line, source list, and last-verified date make responsibility and freshness visible on the page itself.
